Ultar is a Russian post-black metal band from Krasnoyarsk, founded in 2016. Initially known as Deafknife , the band released two full-length albums, but later changed its name to Ultar due to a change in musical style. The band's music is inspired by H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos, and their name refers to the fictional city from the Dreamlands series. Ultar is known for its atmospheric compositions that combine powerful guitar riffs with dark lyrics.
