
Tracy Bonham is an American alternative rock musician born on March 16, 1967, in Eugene, Oregon. Classically trained as a violinist and pianist, she is also a self-taught guitarist. After gaining a local following, Bonham signed with Island Records in 1995. Her debut album, "The Burdens of Being Upright", featured the hit single "Mother Mother", which earned her two Grammy nominations. Known for blending classical influences with rock, she has contributed significantly to the alternative rock genre with her unique sound and introspective lyrics.
