
Tony Williams (full name Энтони Тиллмон Уильямс ) was an American singer born on April 5, 1928, in the United States. He rose to prominence as the lead vocalist of The Platters , with whom he performed from 1953 to 1960. During this period, the group released hits such as "Only You (And You Alone)" and "The Great Pretender" which have become pop classics. Tony Williams contributed significantly to the popularization of the genre by combining jazz and pop elements in his performance.
