
Tomoyasu Hotei is a Japanese musician, composer, and singer-songwriter, born February 1, 1962. He rose to prominence in the 1980s as the guitarist for Boøwy , one of Japan's most popular rock bands. After the band's disbandment, he launched a successful solo career, releasing numerous albums and collaborating with international stars. In 2003, HMV Japan included him in its list of "The 100 Most Important Japanese Pop Acts." His composition "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" became internationally known thanks to the film "Kill Bill" . Hotei is considered one of Japan's finest guitarists, having made significant contributions to the development of rock and pop music.
