Томми Стил (real name Томас Уильям Хикс ) is a British singer, born on December 17, 1936, in the United Kingdom. He is considered the first British teen idol and rock and roll star. In 1957, his song "Singing the Blues" reached number one on the UK Singles Chart, and his album The Tommy Steele Story became his first album to reach number one in the UK.
