
Timothy B. Schmit is an American musician, singer, and songwriter born in 1947. Hailing from the United States, he is best known for his role as bassist and vocalist in the bands Poco and the Eagles, replacing Randy Meisner in both groups. Schmit has also had a prolific career as a session musician and solo artist. In 1998, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Eagles. His contributions to rock and pop music have solidified his legacy as a versatile and influential artist.
