Timoteij is a Swedish pop group founded in 2008. The four-member band combines traditional folk motifs with a contemporary pop sound. The group gained recognition after participating in the 2010 Melodifestivalen competition with the song "Kom" which reached high positions on the Swedish charts. Their debut album "Längtan" also achieved commercial success. Timoteij contributed to the popularization of folk-pop by combining traditional instruments with modern arrangements.
