Timber Timbre is a Canadian folk project formed in 2005. The band performs music in the alternative and country genres. The four-piece lineup features a fun fact: their first rehearsals took place in a woodshed-style lodge in the woods, which inspired the first word in their name— Timber . The second word, Timbre , was left unexplained by the band's creators, but it sounds similar to the French word for "timbre." Timber Timbre is known for its unique sound, which combines melancholy melodies with atmospheric lyrics, making their contribution to alternative music a distinct one.
