His debut album, Tim Buckley (1966), was folk-influenced, but he later experimented with using his voice as an instrument. His song "Song to the Siren" became iconic and inspired artists such as David Lynch. Despite his lack of commercial success, Tim Buckley work had a significant influence on subsequent generations of musicians. He died on June 29, 1975, leaving a lasting mark on musical history.
