Tim Armstrong (full name Timothy Lockwood Armstrong ) is an American musician and composer, born November 25, 1965. He is best known as a member of the punk rock bands Rancid , Operation Ivy , Transplants , and Devil's Brigade . In 2007, he released a solo album titled "A Poet's Life" . Tim Armstrong is also the founder of the Hellcat Records label, which played an important role in promoting punk rock and ska artists. His work has had a significant influence on the development of punk rock and ska in the United States.
