Thurl Ravenscroft was an American actor and bass vocalist born in 1914 in the United States. He gained widespread recognition as the voice behind Tony the Tiger, the animated mascot for Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, a role he performed for over five decades. Additionally, he was the uncredited vocalist of the iconic song "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" from the classic Dr. Seuss Christmas TV special "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!". His deep, resonant voice left an indelible mark on American pop culture, contributing significantly to the legacy of animated and holiday music. Thurl Ravenscroft passed away in 2005.
