The Word Alive is an American post-hardcore band formed in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2008. The group currently consists of vocalist Tyler Smith and guitarist Zack Hansen. Signed to Fearless Records, their debut EP, "Empire", released in 2009, reached #15 on the Top Heatseekers chart and received positive reviews. In 2010, they released their first full-length album, "Deceiver", which climbed to #97 on the Top Independent Albums chart. Known for their dynamic sound and intense live performances, The Word Alive has made a significant impact on the post-hardcore genre.
