The Vapors is a British rock and pop band formed in the late 1970s. Originating from Guildford, England, the group is best known for their hit single "Turning Japanese", which became a global success in 1980. The band released two albums, "New Clear Days" and "Magnets", during their initial run before disbanding in 1982. Known for their blend of new wave and punk influences, The Vapors reunited in 2016 and have since released new music, including the album "Together" in 2020. Their work remains a significant contribution to the new wave genre.
