The Poodles were a Swedish glam metal and hard rock band formed in 2006. The group consisted of vocalist Jakob Samuel, bassist Pontus Egberg, guitarist Pontus Norgren, and drummer Christian Lundqvist. Jakob Samuel had previously been the drummer for the Swedish hard rock band Talisman in the early 1990s. The Poodles gained widespread recognition with their hit songs "Metal Will Stand Tall" and "Night of Passion," the latter performed at the Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen in 2006. The band disbanded in 2018, leaving a lasting mark on the glam metal and hard rock genres.
