The Mescaleros were a British rock band formed in 1999 and active until 2002. The group was led by Joe Strummer, best known as the frontman of The Clash. Over their brief but impactful career, The Mescaleros released three studio albums, blending rock with elements of reggae, punk, and world music. Their notable works include the albums "Rock Art and the X-Ray Style" and "Global a Go-Go". The band disbanded following the untimely death of Joe Strummer in 2002.
