The Last Shadow Puppets was a British indie rock supergroup formed in 2007 as a collaborative project between Alex Turner, frontman of Arctic Monkeys, and solo artist Miles Kane. Known for their lush, cinematic sound, the group released two critically acclaimed albums: "The Age of the Understatement" (2008) and "Everything You've Come to Expect" (2016). Their debut album was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize, and the title track became a standout hit. The band’s orchestral arrangements, often featuring contributions from Owen Pallett, set them apart in the alternative music scene. Though their activity ceased in 2017, their influence on modern indie rock remains significant.
