The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble was a Dutch contemporary jazz group formed in 1999 in Utrecht, Netherlands. The group included musicians Jason Kohnen, Gideon Kiers, trombonist Hilary Jeffrey, cellist Nina Hitz, singer Charlotte Segarra, guitarist Eelco Bosman, and violinist Sadie Anderson. The group released several albums, including "Here Be Dragons" and "From the Stairwell" which received acclaim within the dark jazz community. After disbanding in 2013, the members continued their musical work as The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation , maintaining their atmospheric and experimental approach. The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble made a significant contribution to the development of dark jazz, combining cinematic and avant-garde elements.
