
The Jam was a British new wave band formed in 1975 in London, England. The trio consisted of frontman and songwriter Paul Weller, bassist Bruce Foxton, and drummer Rick Buckler. Active until 1982, the band released six critically acclaimed and commercially successful studio albums, with their final album, The Gift, topping the UK Albums Chart. Over their career, The Jam achieved 23 UK Top 40 singles, including four that reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. Known for their sharp lyrics and energetic performances, they left a lasting impact on the British rock and pop scenes.
