
Germs was an American punk rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1977. Known for their raw energy and chaotic performances, the group was fronted by vocalist Darby Crash and guitarist Pat Smear. Their only studio album, "(GI)", produced by Joan Jett, is considered a landmark in the punk genre. Despite their short-lived career, the band became influential in the punk scene, with tracks like "Lexicon Devil" and "We Must Bleed" gaining cult status. Germs left a lasting legacy, shaping the sound and ethos of American punk rock.
