The Gaslight Anthem is an American rock band from New Brunswick, New Jersey, formed in 2006. The group consists of Brian Fallon, Alex Rosamilia, Alex Levine, and Benny Horowitz. They released their debut album, "Sink or Swim", in May 2007 on XOXO Records. Their breakthrough came with their second album, "The '59 Sound", released in August 2008 on SideOneDummy Records. Subsequent albums, including "American Slang" (2010) and "Handwritten" (2012), solidified their reputation, with the latter released under Mercury Records. The Gaslight Anthem is celebrated for their contribution to alternative rock, blending punk energy with heartfelt storytelling.
