Terri Lyne Carrington is an American jazz drummer, composer, and producer born in 1965 in Medford, Massachusetts. Known for her innovative approach to jazz, she has collaborated with legends such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and Esperanza Spalding. Her 2011 album "The Mosaic Project" won a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album, making her the first female artist to win in this category. Other notable works include "Money Jungle: Provocative in Blue", which also earned a Grammy.
