Talk Talk was a British rock band that existed from 1981 to 1991. The band was formed in the UK by Mark Hollis, Lee Harris, and Paul Webb. Early in their career, the band performed synth-pop and achieved success with hits such as "Talk Talk" "It's My Life" and "Such a Shame" In the mid-1980s Talk Talk changed direction, experimenting with jazz and improvisation, resulting in albums that became precursors to the post-rock genre. Their contribution to the development of experimental music had a significant influence on subsequent generations of musicians.
