Syd Barrett (real name Роджер Кит Барретт ) is a British musician, poet, composer, and artist, born in 1946 in the UK. He was a founding member of the rock band Pink Floyd and one of the pioneers of psychedelic rock. Барретт came up with the band's name and wrote most of its early songs, including its debut album "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" His work defined the band's musical and stylistic direction.
