SuperM is a South Korean supergroup formed in 2019 by SM Entertainment and Capitol Music Group . The group includes seven members from three other SM boy bands: Taemin of SHINee , Baekhyun and Kai of EXO , as well as Taeyong, Mark, Ten, and Lucas from NCT units NCT 127 , NCT Dream , and WayV . The group debuted on October 4, 2019, with their self-titled extended play, which peaked at number one on Billboard 200 SuperM has made a significant contribution to the international popularity K-pop .
