
Stu Phillips is a Canadian-American country singer born in Montreal, Quebec, in 1933. He rose to prominence as the host of CBC Red River Jamboree and a regular on Grand Ole Opry . Signed to RCA , he recorded tracks such as "Bracero" and "The Last Thing on My Mind" which were included on "The Best of Country and West" compilations. In 1993, he was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. In addition to music, he manages Long Hollow Winery and is an ordained minister. Stu Phillips has made significant contributions to the development of country music in Canada and abroad.
