Steve Forbert is an American pop/folk singer-songwriter born in 1954 in the United States. Known for his 1979 hit song "Romeo's Tune", which reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 13 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart, he also achieved significant success in Canada, where the song peaked at No. 8. All four of his early albums charted on the Billboard 200, with Jackrabbit Slim earning gold certification in Canada. In 2004, his album Any Old Time was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Folk Album. With over twenty studio albums, Steve Forbert has made a lasting impact on the folk-rock genre.
