Staind is an American alternative metal band formed in 1995 in Springfield, Massachusetts. The original lineup included vocalist Aaron Lewis, guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist Johnny April, and drummer Jon Wysocki. In 2011, Jon Wysocki left the band and was replaced by Sal Giancarelli. Known for their emotionally charged lyrics and heavy sound, the band achieved mainstream success with hits like "It's Been Awhile" and "Outside". Their albums, including "Break the Cycle", have sold millions worldwide. Staind is recognized for their significant contribution to the alternative metal and post-grunge genres.
