Solomon Burke (March 21, 1940 – October 10, 2010) was an American soul singer and songwriter. His musical career spanned the genres of R&B , blues, and rock. In his youth Solomon Burke was a Protestant minister and met Мартином Лютером Кингом , which influenced his work. He recorded for labels such as Atlantic Records and became known for hits including "Cry to Me" and "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love" Solomon Burke had a significant influence on the development of soul music, becoming one of its key performers.
