Snail Mail is an American indie rock project led by singer, songwriter, and guitarist Lindsey Erin Jordan. Born in 1999, Jordan began performing under the moniker Snail Mail in 2015 at the age of 15. Her debut EP, Habit, released in 2016, garnered significant attention. In 2018, she released her first studio album, Lush, through Matador, earning widespread critical acclaim. Her sophomore album, Valentine, followed in 2021 and was similarly praised. Recognized by Pitchfork as a leading voice in the next generation of indie rock, Snail Mail continues to shape the genre with her introspective lyrics and melodic guitar work.
