
Smokie is a British rock band from Bradford, formed in 1963 by school friends Chris Norman, Alan Silson, and Ron Kelly. The band achieved its greatest popularity in the 1970s, releasing 11 singles and five albums that reached the top 20 in Europe. Among their most famous hits are "Living Next Door to Alice" and "If You Think You Know How to Love Me" The band's lineup changed repeatedly, but Terry Uttley remained a constant member. Smokie made a significant contribution to the development of pop rock, becoming one of the most recognizable bands of their time.
