Silverchair was an Australian alternative rock band formed in 1992 in Newcastle. Initially called Innocent Criminals , the band changed its name to Silverchair in September 1994, inspired by Nirvana songs "Sliver" and You Am I ("Berlin Chair"). The band consisted of vocalist and guitarist Дэниэла Джонса , bassist Криса Джоанну , and drummer Бена Гиллиса . Silverchair released several successful albums, including "Frogstomp" and "Neon Ballroom" and became one of the most prominent Australian rock bands. Their work had a significant influence on the development of alternative rock.
