Shystie, born Chanelle Shiloh Calica on December 25, 1982, is an English rapper, songwriter, and actress from Hackney, East London. She gained recognition in 2004 with her response to Dizzee Rascal's track "I Luv U" and by touring with Basement Jaxx, The Streets, and 50 Cent. That same year, she signed with Polydor and released her debut album, "Diamond in the Dirt", earning her the title of "First Lady of Grime" in the press. After a hiatus, she returned in 2013 with the EP "Pink Mist", which reached #4 on the UK Albums Chart. Shystie has collaborated with artists like Alesha Dixon, Estelle, Azealia Banks, and Lady Leshurr, contributing significantly to the grime and UK rap scenes.
