Showtek is a Dutch DJ duo consisting of brothers Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen. Founded in 2001, the duo has become one of the most influential in the world of hardstyle music. In addition to their work in Showtek , Wouter and Sjoerd also pursue side projects. Wouter, under the alias Walt Jenssen produces tech trance with heavy beats, and collaborates with Zany in the duo Southstylers . Wouter's other project is Duro , where he experiments with fast, choppy beats and dirty sounds. Showtek made a significant contribution to the development of hardstyle and later expanded their influence, working in the genres of electro and progressive house.
