Shawty Lo (real name Carlos Walker) was an American rapper born on March 31, 1976. He was the founder of the label D4L Records and a member of the hip hop group D4L . His first solo album, "Units in the City" , was released on February 26, 2008, and featured hits such as "Dey Know" Following his tragic death on September 21, 2016, the album "RICO" was posthumously released in 2017. Shawty Lo left a significant mark on the genre of Southern hip hop.
