
Shakespears Sister is a British pop and alternative rock duo formed in the late 1980s. Initially a solo project by Siobhan Fahey, formerly of Bananarama, it later became a duo with the addition of Marcella Detroit. The group gained international fame with their 1992 hit single "Stay", which topped the UK charts for eight weeks. Their albums, including "Hormonally Yours", received critical acclaim and commercial success. Known for their theatrical style and blending of pop and rock elements, Shakespears Sister left a lasting impact on the alternative music scene of the 1990s.
