SHAH is a Soviet and Russian thrash metal band founded in 1985 in Moscow. The band was one of the pioneers of Soviet thrash metal. The original lineup included Антонио Гарсия (guitar), Андрей Сазонов (drums), and Мигель Гарсия (bass, vocals). The band quickly gained cult status in heavy metal circles thanks to its professionalism and vibrant performances. At various times, the lineup included Анатолий Крупнов , founder of the legendary Черного обелиска . SHAH made a significant contribution to the development of thrash metal in the USSR, setting a role model for subsequent generations of musicians.
