Сергей Курёхин (1954–1996) was a Soviet and Russian avant-garde musician, composer, screenwriter, and actor. Originally from Leningrad, he began as a keyboardist in local rock bands and a member of Анатолия Вапирова jazz ensemble. In 1981, Курёхин released his first record abroad, marking the beginning of his career in contemporary classical and experimental music. His work included collaborations with various artists and film appearances. Сергей Курёхин made a significant contribution to the development of avant-garde music in Russia, remaining one of the most prominent figures of his time.
