Sepultura is a Brazilian metal band formed in 1984. Initially a black metal band, the band eventually experimented with genres including death metal, thrash metal, groove metal, and nu metal. Over the course of their career, Sepultura has released fifteen full-length albums, including "Roots" and "Chaos AD" which have become cult classics within the metal community. The band is also known for its powerful live performances and its influence on the development of extreme metal. Sepultura has made a significant contribution to the popularization of the Brazilian metal scene internationally.
