Санди Денни (real name Alexandra Helen MacLean Denny) was a British singer and guitarist born in 1947. She became a key figure in the folk rock movement of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Санди Денни gained her greatest fame as a member of the band Fairport Convention . Her duet with Robert Plant on the song "The Battle of Evermore" from the album Led Zeppelin IV cemented her popularity among hard rock fans. In 1971 and 1972, she was voted Best Female Singer in the UK by Melody Maker magazine. Санди Денни made a significant contribution to the development of folk rock, leaving a lasting mark on musical history.
