Sam Cohen is an American rock vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, artist, and producer from Brooklyn, New York. Born in 1979, he co-founded the psychedelic rock and pop band Apollo Sunshine, releasing several albums in the early 2000s. In 2009, he launched his solo project Yellowbirds, debuting with the album The Color in 2011, followed by Songs from the Vanished Frontier in 2013. His first solo record under his own name, Cool It, was released on April 28, 2015, via Easy Sound Records. Known for playing all instruments on his records, Sam Cohen has made a significant mark in alternative and rock music.
