Sakura is a Russian rock band formed in 2001 in Moscow. The band gained recognition in the Russian rock and local indie music scene. After a period of intense activity, Sakura ceased performing regularly in 2013, with the exception of farewell concerts in 2017. In December 2019, the band reconvened for a performance at the Moscow club "16 Tons" and announced concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Sakura has left a significant mark on the Russian rock scene, combining melody and an experimental approach in their music.
