Sacramentum is a Swedish black death metal band, formed in 1990 in Sweden under the name Tumulus . The band's first recordings were made in 1992, after which they changed their name to Sacramentum . In 1994, they released the EP Finis Malorum , and in 1995, they recorded their debut album Far Away from the Sun , which was released on the French label Adipocere Records . Their second album The Coming of Chaos became their American debut after signing with Century Media Records . Their latest album Thy Black Destiny was released a year later after touring Europe and the United States. Sacramentum made a significant contribution to the development of black death metal.
