Ryan Adams (full name: David Ryan Adams ) is an American singer and songwriter born on November 5, 1974. He began his career in the band Whiskeytown , performing alt-country and rock. After leaving the band, Adams released his debut solo album, Heartbreaker , which received critical acclaim. His second album, Gold , brought him widespread fame thanks to the hit single " New York, New York ." In total, he has recorded five solo albums and five more with The Cardinals , his backing band. Ryan Adams has had a significant influence on the development of alt-country and rock music.
