Ruben Gonzalez (also known as Рубен Гонсалез ) is a Cuban pianist born in 1919 in Santa Clara, Cuba. He rose to prominence as a leading performer in the jazz and Latin American music genres. Ruben Gonzalez began his career in the 1940s, collaborating with groups such as Arsenio Rodríguez and Orquesta América . His solo album "Introducing... Ruben Gonzalez" , released in 1997, received international acclaim. He was also part of the legendary Buena Vista Social Club , which brought him worldwide fame. His contribution to the development of Cuban music and jazz remains significant.
