
Roxy Music was a British rock band founded in 1970 by Bryan Ferry and Graham Simpson. Phil Manzanera, Andy MacKaye, and Brian Eno later joined the band, although the lineup changed frequently. Bryan Ferry remained the primary leader. Roxy Music music combined ironic poetry, virtuoso performance, and stylish stage productions inspired by high fashion and commercial photography. The band's early work was distinguished by a symbiosis of lyricism and modernism. Among their well-known compositions are "Love Is the Drug" and "More Than This" Roxy Music made a significant contribution to the development of art rock and pop music.
