
Ronnie Self (1938–1981) was an American rockabilly singer and songwriter. Originally from the United States, he signed contracts with Columbia and Decca in the late 1950s and early 1960s. His only charting single was "Bop-A-Lena" which peaked at number 68 on Billboard charts in 1958. "Ain't I'm a Dog" became a regional hit in the Southern United States but failed to achieve national success. Despite his modest solo career, he left his mark on the rockabilly genre, inspiring future artists.
