Roky Erickson (born Роджер Кайнард Эриксон , 1947–2019) was an American musician and songwriter. He rose to prominence as a founding member and leader of the 13th Floor Elevators , a band considered a pioneer of the psychedelic rock genre. His work included such iconic songs as "You're Gonna Miss Me" and "I Think of Demons" In addition to his work with the band, he also released solo albums that were influential in the development of the genre. Roky Erickson left a significant mark on the history of rock music, particularly in the field of psychedelic rock.
