Rodney Jones is an American jazz guitarist born on August 30, 1956. Known for his work in traditional jazz, he has collaborated with prominent artists such as Jackie Byard, Chico Hamilton, Dizzy Gillespie, and Lena Horne. In addition to his collaborations, Rodney Jones has led his own bands and is recognized for his use of modern quartal harmony in jazz. Beyond performance, he contributes to the next generation of musicians as a faculty member at the Juilliard School.
