Robert Merrill (1917–2004) was an American opera singer born in Brooklyn, New York, to Jewish immigrants from Warsaw. His career spanned decades, and he became one of the leading baritones of his time. Merrill performed at Метрополитен-опера for over 30 years, performing key roles in operas such as "Травиата" and "Риголетто" . His recordings, including duets with Jussi Björling , remain benchmarks.
