Best known as the lead guitarist and primary songwriter for the influential group The Band, he contributed to iconic tracks like "The Weight" and "Up on Cripple Creek". After the group disbanded, he pursued a solo career, releasing critically acclaimed albums such as "Robbie Robertson" and "Storyville". Additionally, he worked in film as an actor, producer, and composer, collaborating with director Martin Scorsese on several projects. Robertson left an indelible mark on rock and pop music through his storytelling and innovative guitar work.
